Yeah Beta isn't that great here compared to frats like those tbh, but Beta isn't too bad! I feel like they compete with guys like Kappa Sig mostly

No not at all. Beta isn't great but they always take bigger pledge classes and actually have a good amount of connections to top tier sororities. There is always tridelts and kappas with them. You wouldn't catch a Tridelt or a kappa within ten feet of a pike or sigma chi.

Or they aren't welcoming and friendly chapters because they already know the zip codes they will recruit from. If you like that protected gene pool philosophy good for you and glad for other chapters who actually meet the pnm's first.

This is true. Zeta has not surpassed kappa yet. If they compete for top tier girls during recruitment next year they could though. The only think that makes kappa better than zeta right now is how selective they are during recruitment. Zeta will give any pretty girl a bid.
