An excerpt of a letter written by 15 Delta Delta Delta Presidents from Indiana University to executive board/nationals.
"During our leadership in Tri Delta, there were many times we felt neglected as a Delta Omicron member by our National team. We were twenty year old women trying to balance finding a career, completing school work, and ensuring the safety of over 100 women. Each of us dedicated more hours a week to being Chapter President than school work in order to try and help our chapter improve our standing with Nationals; however, we did not feel that time spent was reciprocated. Unfortunately, we felt FEAR of women that we were supposed to admire and collaborate with. We felt frustration at the lack of ability for our voices to be heard. Nationals made decisions that impacted the lives of over 100 women in a “black box” with little explanation to and no input from chapter leadership. We felt as though our chapter was never even given a chance."

Hardcore probation? They had recruitment in January and now it's over for all the new PNMs. That's really sad..The members have to leave the house too. They aren't allowed to even stay until school gets out. They were not in trouble with IU. IU was never aware of any disciplinary actions with nationals until very recently. They were in good standing with IU. 100 year old chapter is now gone. I don't think the 20,000 signatures on all those petitions will help them much. A judge did rule in their favor in court case to let them stay a few more days in the house.

Whenever sororities/fraternities get in trouble for hazing/drinking they're usually in trouble with their Nationals, not the university. I mean with the Sig Ep situation, it was their Nationals bringing the hammer down, not A&M.
I do think it was terrible to put the chapter and new girls in limbo, but at least the girls weren't initiated yet so they're not completely locked out of sorority life. From what I figure, it was a strong chapter so their girls will prob find a house. I can see their Panhellenic doing some kind of deal where taking former Tri Delt girls won't count towards quota.

The people behind this petition did not live in the IU 3D home and do not know what truly occurred there. The petitioners desperately hope their petition goes viral and grabs the attention of famous 3D alums in the national media such as Hoda Kotb and Katie Couric. There are also people of a certain age familiar with SNL's 3D sorority humor sketches during the 1990's, so it's likely the petitioners are hopeful that familiarity will also bring them attention and signatures. Media: It's what makes the world go around.

Where do officers of Tri Delta live? The petition written by over a dozen Tri Delta Presidents has around 7000 signatures. Or are you referring to one of the other petitions? Who doesn't remember the SNL skits:) What happened with the lawsuit Tri Delt filed against SNL for 6 Million? Was it ever settled?
