aoii
by: QuestionsI'm an incoming freshman and an AOII legacy. I'm kinda worried because they are literally brand new, what can y'all tell me about them?

"Better than expected" really fits with how I see them. Obviously they haven't been through formal recruitment yet, and haven't participated in the big inter-sorority competitions like Songfest or Paddy Murphy, but they really tried to give bids to really accomplished upperclassmen. Like I said, they're too new to see how they are as an organized sorority, but as a collection of individuals, they're very solid. An actual house would do wonders for them, though.

first of all, AOII's nationals agreed they would have a house within 5 years. so they're probably going to get on that soon. they're also supposedly participating in formal recruitment, although panhellenic really has no idea how that'll work...
that being said, I personally did not rush my legacy, so don't take it too much into account. go thru recruitment, see how you feel, and keep an open mind for any outcome

AOII is definitely doing pretty well for a new sorority. My best friend is an AOII at an out of state university and loves it. That being said, all chapters are different. I say keep your heart open to all possibilities at TAMU. Pick whats best for you. Every single sorority at A&M has good girls. I know sweet girls from almost every sorority. Don't worry about reputation, worry about how you feel. good luck!

The only sorority they are "better" than is adpi. Thats not hard. They seem fine but there is really nothing to say about them because they're new. They have no identity yet. If they compete for girls in formal recruitment (which hopefully for their sake they won't) they will end up fightin for girls with adpi.
