continuous open bidding

COB is only for sororities that don't make quota during recruitment or are below house Total. This will only be one or two of them and they won't have many open spots. Getting a bid this way is hard if you don't know members already.
What COB is NOT is a second chance rush process. It is an individual sorority thing and not really coordinated by panhellenic.
Go through formal, it's your best chance of getting a bid. It's not too late to register, they are reopening it for a 24 hour period at 10 AM this Monday until 10 AM on Tuesday.

What the person above me said is important---COB is NOT a second chance at recruitment. If a house you like drops you, focus on those you DO have left. Don't just drop out and assume you'll get a COB bid. Odds are, that chapter won't even do COB. And yes...some people slip through the cracks, but if you go dropped in formal recruitment odds are you wouldn't get a bid there though COB.
