While this girl had a few good points she was very wrong on what she said about top houses. Top houses are still very close. I know several girls in top houses and they love it, there are only a very few who do not like it. Yes, you should go with the girls that you like. But you should NOT cut the top houses on the first day. Be yourself at every house you go to and just try to relax and be talkative. If you join a top house you will be happy you did, but it's more important to be comfortable whether it's the best house or worst house

I had a bottom/middle tier house and a top house on Pref Night and cut the top house. I am so happy in my house and when I look at the girls in the other house's pledge class I'm so happy I went the way I did and didn't pay attention to all the "top houses" b.s. If you want individuality, go middle/low. If you want to be told how to be and how to act, go top...if they don't cut you.

Or you could just look at the girls at the parties and see which group you'd fit in with best. That's what I'd suggest.

Also, you don't "cut" houses on pref night unless you suicide. You probably were on the lower tier house's top list and on the top house's second list. The only way you choose is if you're at the top of both houses' lists.

Anybody who reads a post on greekrank that tells them what "tier" of sorority they should pledge seriously doesn't belong in recruitment.

It's going to be the largest pnm group ever with a lot of outstanding girls with great grades. Day 1 will be the harshest cut - hang in there. Typically legacies will be kept through day 2. There are a large amount of legacies coming through. I'd you are not an OU legacy there is a good chance you will be cut unless you are exceptional. Be personable, yourself and be open minded. They say you end up in the house you belong in and in about 90 per cent of the time that's true. Good luck !
