Question about sororities

I am coming from the Dallas area and a lot of girls end up OU from where I'm from. Alot of them go Kappa and Pi Phi and a few Chi-O. One of my friends is telling me that she wouldn't go Kappa because they are not a top house and people flame them now. She said they did horrible at the homecoming competition didn't even make U-sing and got a really bad pledge class and now they have all of this drama surrounding them. I just wanted to confirm if what she says is correct from people on campus and if I should focus my relationships on other houses for rush.

Focus on Pi Phi if you also have that connection too. You will find sweet girls in all houses but sound like you want a top.

Hi! Definitely true. Kappa has a terrible reputation on campus as the “mean girls” although ofc not every girl is mean, I wouldn’t want to join a sorority with that reputation. Most people would say Pi Phi is top, Chi-O is also a top.

The golden days of Kappa are over, unfortunately. Bad past mc’s, no involvement and have coasted on past reputations. They’re recruiting average at best girls or legacies who can get away from it.

Focus on Pi Phi if you have that connection. My guess is that will be the number one house for this upcoming rush and be very hard to get into. Girls aren't going to want kappa. After that focus on Chi-o if you fit that vibe

Def keep your options open! Pi Phi is top but will be hard to get into, so if you have any connections start reaching out! Chi-o is also a great option, just depends what vibe u want.

So many of my friends are kappas and all do that is a lie. Every single year they say that kappa is bad this year but they are one of the tops in rush. Ppl want kappa bad and their new PC are super nice and pretty girls.

I think kappa pledge class is fine. They probably got mostly girls they wanted but they really aren't a cute group of girls this year. Also not the most fun. The girls they rushed from Dallas they wanted but aren't awesome outside of their HP/ Ursuline crowd. Like no one is dying to hang with them but they all think thwh are bad ass when in reality they are not at all.
