should you be in a sorority?

If you're on this site because you want to know what recruitment has in store for you, you're probably taken aback with the sheer meanness you've seen on this site. You may be wondering if this life is for you. Of course you can talk to your high school friends, your mom's sorority friends, or research on the internet to find out what it's like. I didn't research. I just went into it blindly.
After I accepted a bid and then dropped out during new member period, I found an OU Daily article written by a sorority girl about life in this same house house. It really opened my eyes.

As for me, I didn't join another sorority because of the type of things described in this article. Now I realize that not every house is like that. Maybe only that one house. I have good friends that are very happy in there houses and I almost wish I were in a house too. Oh well, it's a little too late.
But all in all, I'm glad my eyes were opened to what some houses will do to get new members. This house will probably flood this site with a lot of mean comments, blaming this house or that house for posting this article.
But the truth is it was posted by someone not in any house at OU.

GPB is back to bashing the same house again with the same tired article from forever ago. GPB has slipped to competing with the bottom houses and the house in the article has surpassed their house. I'm guessing the gphi who constantly bashes that house had both on pref nite and mistakingly thought gphi was the better house. So she spends her life on this site. Apparently fixated on the delusion her house is on the level of top houses and seems to be obsessed specifically with DDD.

The original poster nailed it. She predicted that the Alpha Phis would blame this post on girls from certain houses (obvs going to be GPB or DDD since she's been ragging on them for a while now). It's too bad that she couldn't restrain herself and just discuss the article.

What's really sad about the article is that some of the girls she's talking about are now juniors. They're still here, still perpetuating the same kind of house. No wonder that one of their members causes so much trouble and dissension on this board. Apparently that's how the whole house is.

I don't know the answer to the question above, but I do hope that any of you who have alpha phi friends, ask them to stop the bullying. It's bad for OU greek and it's really bad for their house. If we don't stick together as a community, it's hard to encourage others to join us. I'd hate to see a bully make people lose interest in the system.

Too bad you can't read. This has nothing to do with Gamma Phi. I'm not in that house or any house. I was in Alpha Phi and dropped out as I explained. Blaming others for your problems won't solve them.
