by: finallyI think we've all finally come to the conclusion that this site is full of lies created by the Greek Rank staff in order to draw traffic to this pathetic little website. During my rush, I religiously read this site and took what I learned from it as gospel. I am from way OOS and had no connections, but had a 4.0, community service and leadership. On Philanthropy, I had 8 houses that I loved! For Skit, I was cut from all but two of those houses, and was left with two chapters that I thought would be my last resort. I was completely blindsided, and things I had read on this site about the two chapters I had left crushed me. I held my head up high, and went through pref at both of those houses, and ended up at my favorite of the two. I'm having an incredible time now, and I'm sure I'm happier than some girls who are "top tier." This just proves that this site doesn't mean everything, and nobody should take these lies seriously.

The girl is from oos you lunatic. Yes connections are major but if she has the money to come here from oos she very likely has connects back home. Miss connects are only useful if you plan to spend your life here. The only thing questionable to me is why oos people choose ole miss when our academics are god awful, how did you even swing that one to daddy, mine would never allow that if I weren't from here.

Way to pose as an in state student. What i find really interesting is that in my sorority the in state girls make better grades than the oos girls. In fact across the board in state does much better than oos. We have been led to believe over the past few years that oos girls bring with them higher academic achievement. This is not true and we are making changes in our recruitment.

um. Mississippi has THE WORST education in the country. please look it up, every single study has them listed as THE WORST or SECOND to worst. the only reason why oos might have lower gpas (which you are probably lying about anyway), is because they came here for the
party only. not the academics because even bama is better, or lsu. I'm a sophomore and I know many people from in state.... all of who, complain about their grades constantly and that's a fact

Y'all are missing the point. Having the ability to connect with people is a skill. I'm from oos and didn't know a single student at ole miss but worked to make connections. It is possible!
When I graduate, it won't be the connections I made at ole miss that will help me in life, it's my ability to make connections and meet people and socialize with others.
Bottom line, the cream always rises to the top. In fraternities, in sororities, and in life.

Just depends on what your definition of top is. I have a feeling being nice and a good person, which by the way gets you genuine connections that last and not fake ones that last as long as your act, is not what you consider the cream.

However dreadful many of you may find this site, most of the posts evidence a knowledge of the inner workings of life at Ole Miss. For the Greek Rank developers to be able to post the type of things you are suggesting they would have to have a staff or at least 100 to keep up with the goings-on on campuses across the nation. I'm sorry, but this is not the case.
Hate the site as you will, but the posts are being generated locally.

Most of them aren't generated locally. It doesn't take much to figure out the buttons to push to keep things stirred up. I can go to any schools page and figure it out in less than 10 minutes.

What? Your don't think that connections also work after graduation?
In real life, who you know is more important than what you know. Since you obviously didn't work on connections before rush, hopefully you will work harder on connections in real life.
Yes, let's see who goes further in life. Top tier girls already have that advantage!
