oos rushee

I'm from california, conservative, like to party, and looking to rush next year. I have minimal connections with anyone at ole miss. How would I go about getting connected with fraternities and which solid ones would be accepting of a California OOS student. Any tips or information would be helpful.

Some of the better fraternities have a few California kids. Honestly your parents probably need to find some connections through friends of friends and get your name out there with some involved, local alumni of any given fraternity. They in turn could recommend you to a rush chair/active. If not that then hang out with the in-state guys who are getting rushed once you get to oxford. Getting your name out there early is of the utmost importance. If you wait till formal rush to meet people you will be limiting yourself.

Beta and Sig Pi will take anybody and both are pretty decent houses so you'll find something.
