If you live in the north do you think there is less of a chance getting a bid to a top sorority?

Yes, but only because most of the top tier actives are from the south and rush the girls they already know.

In my sorority we break out into groups determined by where we are from. For example: Jackson girls will rush Jackson girls. Memphis girls will rush Memphis girls. Atlanta girls rush girls from Atlanta. Texas girls will rush Texas girls, etc. it all works until you get to northern states. There aren't that many girls to rush you (get to know you). See how that works?

If there are girls in a top tier house from your hometown, it will be to your advantage.
