getting a bid?
by: Ole Miss PNMI'm from Mississippi. I have a green zone GPA, more community service and work experience than average, great rec letters and personality, but no legacy status and a few friends who are actives. Could that hurt my chances of getting a bid?

It might, depending on where in Mississippi you are coming from. The high school you attended will also make a difference.
Some areas of Mississippi don't have the best public schools, so grades from these areas are typically inflated. Sororities tend to like the girls from private schools better for this reason. The girls are more academically prepared.
Being from Mississippi, hopefully your recs are from ole miss alumni. If this is true, then you will have no worries at all.
So many factors go into choosing a new pledge class. There is no way anyone on here can tell you your chances.

i don't really want to say where I'm from, but I went to one of the best public high schools in the state. And all of my recs were from Ole Miss alums. So hopefully my lack of legacy status won't be an issue
