do it. you want ALL of your options to be open. Rush is crazy at Ole Miss. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Don't base your opinion on Chi Omega or any other sorority, on this website. What if you end up loving Chi O and they love you, but can't give you a bid without a rec? What is the harm in doing just one or two more?

I wouldn't bother. Their alumni control their list and their top 100 list has been done for months.

Chi Omega is a huge sorority that is very strong. You are bound to find an alum somewhere if you look hard enough! You want to do everything you can so you can have all your options open. Chi Omega is a great sorority just like all the others, and it may end up being perfect for you, or it may not. But having a rec is a key piece in getting a bid to a sorority here.

Not having a rec is the easiest thing to get cut for so why set yourself up to not even have a chance with ChiO?

1. First, Ask each of your rec writers if they know a XO who would be willing to write your rec. Sorority women know other sorority women! Usually, they are more likely to write one for someone they don't know if the pnm comes highly recommended.

2. Next, You, your mom, and your grandma all need to post this on Facebook: "PNM name is going through sorority rush at Ole Miss this fall. We have secured recommendations for every house except Chi Omega where we have not been able to find any we know. If you know a Chi Omega who would be willing to help, please PM me. Thank you!" You will probably be surprised and be able to get that final rec.

3. Last, Contact your local Panehellenic to see if they can help. This is your worst option because someone who doesn't know you (or know you through a friend of a friend like options 1 & 2) won't be able to write more than an "info only" rec. It will probably keep you through round 2 but that's it.

Some local alumni groups will meet up with you.. I know for One of my rec writers, they invited me to one of their meetings and they loved me.
