wondering

by: Ole Miss ...

There was a party for a girl last night in Oxford who is a legacy to a certain sorority. The mother and aunt along with alumni advisors and some actives attended to introduce this pnm so she would be given a bid. I was in a dress shop where the pnm, aunt, and mother were buyiing a dress for the party and talking about it openly. Does this happen a lot?

There are similar parties like this going on all over the south right now. While it doesn't guarantee the pnm a bid, it certainly gives her a huge leg up.

It is the best example so far on this site that shoes of how connections work and how they can be powerful.

I'm in a different state 800 miles away introducing my favorite "rush crush" to everyone I can to ensure her a successful recruitment.
