Will save you from first round grade cuts. I rushed with a 3.02 and my GPA never effected me, as far as I know. I got a bid to the house I dreamed of.

But. If a house is looking at you and another girl and your resumes are very similar.. If she has a 3.5, you will be cut. But this doesn't happen often. If you have a good resume and good personality, you likely won't be cut due to a flat 3.0 because you are in the green zone.

IDK about other sororities, but in my house the first day or two is a numbers game. You're on a list by GPA/legacy status/connections by alumni. If panhellenic tells us we need to cut 200 girls after that night, the 200 girls with the lowest GPA will be dropped. It's hard to say with a 3.0.... You better have connections. Because when it comes down to it, if it's between you and a girl with a 3.4 and you both have a great personality they will pick the girl with the higher GPA
