eating disorders

What is the prevalence of eating disorders in sororities? Specifically XO,KD, and DDD? I have had anorexia for years and it was really bad, like BMI < 14. Im a lot better now, but I was wondering if being in a top sorority might lead to a relapse?

being said, there is a possibility that you could have a relapse. These are great houses! I know they all want girls to feel good about themselves and have a positive body image, like @google said about Tri Delt. They will not purposefully make you feel bad about yourself. But there are lots of girls in every house, especially the top houses, that seem like they are perfect. They can make anyone feel bad about themselves, honestly. I don't want this to be taken the wrong way though. They don't do it on purpose, they are just gorgeous. I don't know you and I don't know what exactly would make you have a relapse. I really really from the bottom of my heart am so sorry that you have to go through this, and I really hope that you can find the house that you fit into and feel at home in, and hope that you only continue to get better! Just know that the girls that might be your sisters would never purposefully make you feel bad about yourself. You probably will not be the only one with an eating disorder in your house. If you're open with it with your sisters and express how you feel, I'm sure they would only be encouraging! They would help you get through this.

And absolutely true, your sisters will love you no matter what! And just know no matter how well some of us seem to be put together some of us are fighting our own demons! Find a good support group of friends that will be there for you-college can be overwhelming at first, but once you get in a house you will know they are there for you. Good luck to you and hope your rush is an amazing experience! Just don't forget every house here has a great sisterhood and will support you when you need a friend!
