#604by: Problem is?
Not enough sororities or not enough exclusivity. I see my daughter's composite with 250 + members. Crazy. This makes rush crazy and impossible to REALLY screen out the bad apples (legacy or not). So, there are plenty of drunk, rude girls and yes, Mississippi produces their share, like it or not. Cut the size and raise the price. Nobody promised every little girl could go to dancing school or be in a sorority. HOWEVER, as with every generation before, there will still be a fair share of high-dollar, well-bred boozers and men chasers. They've been trained at the country club.

We would all agree that will current fashions is very pricey and quite a few people cannot afford to continuously invest thousands upon totes plus some various other manner basics. The best solution is to become sale made enthusiast and constantly be on the lookout with regard to traditional products that have been lowered in price. One real Louis Vuitton ladies handbag is way better compared to a cabinet packed with replica makers.

PNMs need to be open-minded. It can be hard when there's opinions being thrown at you from all sides, but none of that temporary catty stuff really matters when you're choosing a sisterhood you want to be a part of for life. Seek a bid where you can imagine late night while wearing your pajamas.
#608by: My daughter is
going through rush this year. How do I know what I read in the O magazine article will never happen again at Ole Miss. Are there safe guards in place to make sure events are safe? Also are some of these girls with drinking isssues allowed to be in charge of the events? Please I want to know my child is safe.

every house has girls who drink/dont drink, exec board is generally made up of responsible women. they are the ones in charge of major events. if you raised your daughter to make good choices she is safe. the article in O about the chi os was truly an accident. they dont do the event anymore though

thank you for the advice. My niece went to a girls summer camp in Tuxedo NC last summer and one of the workers was a Ole Miss ChiO. Later I was saddened by some of the stories she has told my niece of her so called sorority life at Ole Miss. Your words of encouragement are so appreciated and I hate to judge the whole group by two incidents (camp/O article) but it does have me concerned. I will encourage my daughter to look at all the groups at rush.
