adpi

Honestly. Is ADPi really that bad of a house?

I would not say bad. They are building their chapter. In under a year they already have a house being built. They swap with top tier fraternities. They seem to be doing well in rush. They are just a new chapter.

Those fraternities were essentially required to swap with them, and NOBODY came except ADPI's. This year, they'll probably only swap with Pike. No sorority will want to associate with them after seeing the other things on this thread.

I don't think so. They are a new chapter. There are lots of sweet and pretty girls in adpi. They will get better with time and their house will be beautiful.

I am not an ADPi, but YES, they are a great group of girls. They are new and a lot of the established groups talk smack about them. Don't listen to the "top tier" houses that are mean about them. If ADPi invited you back, they like you. It is better to be in ANY Ole Miss chapter than not Greek at all. Join ADPi if you are lucky enough to get a bid from them.

It's not the top tier girls cutting them down! We love ADPi, we actually want them to be successful! The girls who want to see them fail are the bottom tier girls who can't stand the idea that girls might choose ADPi over them. Theta, I'm talking about you!!!

A lot of the established groups talk smack about them? And they're just totally innocent right? See below.

Not so sure. But I definitely disagree with comments that bottom tier houses are the ones hating on them. Someone commented that we needed a new sorority (we did, we have tonssss of girls going through), and it would help the bottom tier out in the process.

...these are all ADPIs or advisors/alumnae. I dropped, and not right away. I gave it time. These girls do not have anything together. The lack of a house gives them NO way to communicate. Everyone else has their officers living in the house. I was told something different every time I asked them. I understand that happens in every house, but if you want a good experience...go with an already established house. These girls act like they don't want to be here...coming from someone who has been there, done that. I'm not bitter, I just don't want someone to feel like they wasted their time like I did.

are you going through recruitment again? if not, isn't it kinda weird you're on this website?

I wouldn't say so, if she's just talking about her experience. It might help someone else. It's definitely more relevant than alumnae.

@i can guarantee you, I'm really glad you honestly told your experience!! There would have been good with the bad but I have so much going on and needed an established house like you said! It was a hard decision because their rush was so good, but I know it's all a show (and I don't mean that negatively, that's just how I thought of it, the whole time I was wondering what really goes on)!!

I'd much rather be in any house other than ADPi but would rather be ADPi than not Greek.

Oh and what @I can guarantee you said is true...there are a lot of non-greeks posting here, probably alums. You can tell because they post DURING recruitment events. Lol

The only people who are threatened by ADPi would be the bottom tier houses. They are terrified that ADPi will pull better girls than them. And it seriously could happen! From listening to tent talk, most pnms would rather go ADPi than theta or aopi. Some even think ADPi is better than pi phi, but that's a stretch.

All top six sororities are pulling for them. Even during rounds the top six have nothing but positive nice things to say about them.

"Bottom" tier (to you) is also pulling for them. There are so many girls going through rush that no one needs to talk down another house.

The only thing ADPI is doing, at this point, is bumping up the bottom tier houses, until they have some time to truly get on their feet. Everyone knows we needed another sorority, I'm not sure the bottom tier sororities feel very threatened. You don't need to be speaking about other houses like this.

looks like you should have kept that "tent talk" to yourself. if someone is sticking up for you, in ANY situation, don't turn around and slap them in the face. it will come back to bite you BIG TIME!
