Was Variable Quota a thing at Ole Miss in 2013?
by: QuestionWhat years did ole miss have it? I thought I remembered it when I went through rush in 2013 but also heard they didn’t have it in 2015-2016

2016 was the first time for VQ and you'd have thought it was the end of the world for all the mammas and grandmammas screaming about their legacies not getting in as well as the non-legacy Mississippians who thought they had RIGHTS to an older chaper. My gawd it was such a cluster with the old biddies for those years through 2018. It sadly didn't help Theta, who finally had to shutter, but it did build up APhi finally. Then AXO came on 2022 and VQ started again for 2023 and 2024 to help build them up. VQ is the only way to get a chapter established these days on a large campus. State had to do it too at around the same time frames and also got AXO re-established in 2021.

Okay interesting. I thought I remembered them doing it in 2013 bc ADPI? or maybe it was just they had smaller pledge classes? I’m not sure how Theta had 140 (the largest by far) ? Maybe they took all QAs if a PNM had Theta as their second house etc.
