by: TransferWill there be any COB in the spring for sororities ? If so which houses? I have emailed Panhellenic to tell them I’m interested. Just wondering what houses i should reach out to.

There will now be one less sorority on campus. It will mean the quotas will have to be increased for each sorority or there will have to be a larger number of potential recruits not chosen by a sorority. If the past history of recruitment continues it might not be an issue as ADPi and Alpha Phi would be able to pick up the addition numbers, as they have been the two with the larger drop rates.

Are you talking about variable quota or just regular RFM? Which is it going to be next fall?

Variable Quota will more than likely continue for a few more years. VQ hasn't exactly accomplished what it intended to do. If it had worked Theta would still be here, however Quotas are necessary in some form or other. It is extremely important to keep our remaining sororities recruitment numbers as balanced as possible and hopefully each sorority will be able to maintain their numbers. Ole Miss does not need to lose another sorority, for a campus our size we should have probably 4 or 5 more sororities.

Don't worry. I guarantee some will! Girls transfer, leave school, graduate over winter, drop their sorority, etc. in all chapters. Some chapters want to bid up to quota while others won't bother doing it, but nationals really push chapters to COB. I know of at least a couple houses for sure hoping to extend a few bids. If you are interested in joining, you should reach out to your friends in sororities and ask them to spread the word.
