dg or kd
by: honestright now im being rushed really hard by dg and kd. i doubt i will be lucky enough to have them both on pref, but i was just wondering what most girls would prefer between the two houses? i like the girls in both houses a lot so far.

i'm going to be 1 hundred percent honest on what I think most girls would do.
If you care about your reputation at all, you will choose Kappa Delta. KD at ole miss is known to be one of the best KD chapters nationally. The girls are known as some of the best sorority girls on campus in so many ways. They are known to be smart, pretty, and typically nice girls by everyone. KD is also known to be one of the hardest houses to get in, making it known as a top tier house.
If you don't care about your reputation, you may choose delta gamma. They are known to take a wide variety of girls from all over the US with various reputations and backgrounds. Most girls are nice and find a great friend group in DG, but they are known to be lower middle tier and the house is not as exclusive and difficult to get in to.
You will be happy with whatever house you choose.

@ok: Your post shouldn't even be responded too, but sadly some poor PNM will think you were actually being honest. KD and DG are both good Sororities but so are all the others. KD and DG both tend to be "Mississippi" sororities. Almost all of the OOS that pledge KD or DG are coming to Ole Miss with strong connections as legacies to the school. Every single sorority takes a variety of girls with various reputations and backgrounds. KD is a more exclusive because their recruitment numbers are lower due to variable quota and their retention rate is better than DGs. Also keep in mind, as you are enjoying the attention of both sororities, that nothing is promised. Keep an open mind.

Based on present ranking, honestly I'd choose KD. DG is fine and moving up in the ranks but you'll have graduated by the time DG is where KD is now and KD's rank will also continue to rise. Sorry that is just the truth based on rank, retention, and reputation. BUT, you may feel like DG fits you better and the girls there are more like you so pledge what fits you and not what some GR site says!

Seriously don't listen to that chick. Go where ever you actually like the most during rush, even if that's not KD or DG. And if you are a casualty of this cut throat rush then go into any other house just as happy and into it as you are with these two houses right now. And remember...this site gets BRUTAL before rush and anyone talking up a certain house or bashing a certain house has an agenda. Make your OWN decisions. No one has to live with it but YOU.
