Why don’t divine 9 have houses?

i’m an incoming freshmen who happens to be black, i always wanted to rush a divine 9 frat but they don’t have houses? thinking i should stick to ifc maybe?

Nationals won't get them a house. They're still represented on campus tho

D9 groups don't use housing as a lure, nor a necessary function, to their purposes toward their people and community. SERVICE is their main aim, with leadership opportunities and character-building included.

Housing would be an expensive, time-consuming distraction.
