Informal is not worth it. Less than a 1% chance of getting a bid. Do formal and find the chapter that actually wants you. You probably won’t get an informal bid from a chapter you want anyways

It’s pretty much impossible to get an informal bid unless you know someone. Better chance waiting until next years formal rush
