what sororities cut girls that aren’t rich
by: ?let’s say you’re mid to upper middle class and can afford dues, and still present yourself well, but are not wealthy enough to wear designer or have a big house or whatever. are there houses that will automatically cut you for this?

stalking your socials before rush to see if you wear expensive clothes, go on expensive vacations, or overall live an expensive lifestyle. also asking questions about what your parents do or what kind of car you drive. this effects the way they treat you during recruitment.

they’re not allowed to talk about money but they’re trained to find other ways of asking. their dues are super high and the houses are expensive, so it’s their way of making sure they’re only bidding people who can afford it. there’s a reason they have a reputation

it’s not even about bidding people who can afford it, it’s about keeping an image lol. you can be middle class and afford dues, but can still get cut from certain houses if you don’t meet their standard of wealth 🤷🏻♀️

I’m a brother in a frat but reading this actually make me think that these are the reasons sororities have a bad rep and why most girls don’t want to rush . I’m glad that frat don’t go after looks and background and see if the guy is Rich or not because let’s get one thing straight at this age none of us are rich and all the money that really should matter is what we make (not our parents ) our parents money isn’t our money . Anyhow I think sororities that judge girls based on their parents financial situation is literally the reason why the whole country make fun of sororities girls and have bunch of memes on them (Emily, dumb, Starbucks you all know what I mean ). Hopefully frats don’t ever take that route .
