Kelley majors aren’t god
by: tbhgiven that there r many Kelley members in our Greek community, I wanted to share this thought. whenever I talk to Kelley guys/girls (mostly the guys), it amazes me how much ego they have. Majoring in business is essentially majoring in jobs. It is the least academic major one could take because it is oriented around commercial output. Instead of spending 4 years learning critical thinking, science, and reading important theory, Kelley majors spend their time in Excel and doing pointless projects to climb the corporate ladder and have an oppressive career. Of course there is merit to some stuff in Kelley, but the hype is too much and it doesn’t equate to intelligence, success and happiness, as what many people are led to believe.

How many people in these majors actually go on to become doctors? There are only about 1 million doctors in the US

less of them become doctors, but if you work in any medical research field you're creating more objective value than a dude at pwc who's helping a corp not pay taxes. ofc admitting that the dude at pwc doesnt create value would destroy their worldview in all likelihood

might wanna take a second and consider the word "objective" bud, ie not subjective which is what you just described. you tryna say that a stock broker provides more value than a doctor? ridiculous logic like yours is what moves people left btw "what you get paid is your value" lmaoo even adam smith said thats not true

Y’all do realize that business is the most common major at IU right? Just look at the class of 21 statistics. The world doesn’t need any more business majors, y’all are overflowing the market and not going to make a difference at all. Have fun working at a bank taking calls 9-5.

Bio majors are the ones leaving college empty handed with no jobs.... those types of majors are the ones flooding the market
