It sucks losing a parent but there’s an extremely high correlation between losing a parent and success later in life. 67% of british prime ministers since the 19th century lost a parent before 16. Malcom Gladwell did a study and looked and notable names within Encyclopedias and close to 60% of them had lost a parent before 20. You’re also 2-3x more likely to be incarcerated but when looking strictly at being at the top of you career it does seem like pain bests love when you’re starting the race.
