Go with your gut. If you feel more comfortable with the upper mid houses then pref them. Tiers are made up bs and you and your friends shouldn’t base their rankings on them.

As a pledge, i think you’re putting too much priority on rank. When driving around girls in top tier vs upper mid, the top tier are shallow and honestly just have their looks. But hey, if you’re looking for that, don’t miss that “opportunity”

hi!! I was in the same situation. I was fortunate enough to have a good rush, and I had many amazing options when it came down to it. I was so sure that I was going to pref kappa and pi phi (I even wrote it down) and then my rho gamma asked me why I chose those two over all my others. I just sat there and the only thing that popped in my head was that they were 'top tier.' I Just flat out said, you know what, I don't even know. She told me to think about which type of girls I would want my kids to call their aunt one day, and that may have been the best advice I have ever gotten. I ended up pressing two upper mid houses and it was the absolute best deiscion of my life and I have never been happier.

I was similar but when I realized I would have to actually be IN the chapter that I chose, I went with the one I truly loved and ive never been happier. I know it’s easy to find status appealing but if that’s the main thing you love about a chapter then it’s not for you.
