Most chapters got rid of their legacy policies so there’s not really an advantage there anymore. Being friends w girls in the chapter is obviously a plus but not a guarantee, if you don’t fit in then you don’t fit in and there’s nothing you can do

So most chapters will take you it doesn’t matter if you are a freshmen or a sophmore. That being said some houses have live in requirements where you are obviously required to live in that house if it is a housed chapter. So that is something to keep in mind if you have already signed a lease with an apartment complex but going through recruitment as a sophomore will not decrease your chances of getting into any of the chapters
