Those blue states have been devastated economically with these shutdowns which is a far worse thing in the long run as some boomers dying (kinda insensitive but ligma) a depression is the last thing anyone wants and will completely erode the middle class and further rich-poor gap

There’s no perfect way to handle a pandemic where no one dies, that’s not a rational expectation, but we live in a society and collectively we shouldn’t be shutting down we should be careful about how those who are at risk are being dealt with and it should be everyone else's job to make sure our economy and country’s values don’t collapse with Orwellian restrictions
