Below are houses worth taking a look at:
Sammy (ΣΑΜ)- Provably the best off campus fraternity. Good pairs and legendary rooftop parties. However, they aren’t taking a big class and if you don’t know some guys it will be really tough to get a bid.
Acacia (AKAK)- Solid house with a lot of indy kids. Very nice house aside from cold dorms. Pairs with a variety of sororities and has a decent rep on campus.
Delta Upsilon (ΔΥ)- A house that is getting better every year. Pulls kids from all areas. Good GPA and arguably the best party house in their tier. Very well balanced house and their pcs/pairs keep getting better and better
The other houses should still be considered but as far as the complete IU fraternity experience goes, I’d stick to these 3.

This is so true and no one considers it while rushing. Better to be in a house that stays on campus than one that has marginally better pairs.

DU has been on some kind of probation almost every semester for the last 5 years

it depends on how confident you are that you can put yourself out there. It’s a good fraternity but it is so far away from all the others

If you're checking out Sammy go check out AKL. Word is that they are working on plans to get a house.

you really have to be confident cause you’re basically using up 1/3 of your time getting back to 3rd street for AKAK and DU
