As someone who got a bid from aphi and choose the latter, I don't think this is always true. no one texted me telling me how much they wanted me in the house. If they dirty rush or u heard they did that may have been one situation or something from a previous year

To be honest, they have INVENTED themselves as if they’ve always been a top House and a sorority power.
They are PI PHI LIGHT. Their girls are full of themselves, fake everything, nouveau riche, obsessed with beauty, clothes and boys. Pi Phi is old money, class and taste. Yes, both are aloof, but Pi Phi has something to back it up. So did Tri Delta, who was WAY better than Alpha Phi. Chi O was also considered better till they decided to become another Tri Delta.
Alpha Phi also pales next to Kappa. Kappa takes many wealthy, connected 3rd generation legacies. While they don’t go after fake beauty queens, Kappa girls are well dressed and tasteful. They and Pi Phi have some class....Alpha Phi does not.
Alpha Phi isn’t an awful house...but they are not NEARLY as prestigious as they would like you to think.

Well put and 100% accurate.
When my parents were here in the 80s, Alpha Phi was an upper middle tier sorority full of girls from Carmel. The PI Phi, XO, AXO and DDD were the top 4. AEPhi, Kappa, Theta were all considered more prestigious than Alpha Phi. So, no, they haven't always been top tier and they were actually nice at one time.

I’ll give it to you straight there’s nothing you can do at this point to make aphi want you more. And to be perfectly honest aphi dirty rushes so much if they wanted you you’d already know bc someone would’ve told you. I know your nerves are getting to you but you’re kinda just along for the ride at this point
