i know rankings don’t matter at all and every single house has some of the nicest and genuine people. You get houses back from all tiers so this isn’t just for one specific house. If the houses you get back don’t feel like home what’s should you do? I know a lot of people will say continue with the process but in the end if you don’t feel at home would you still join or rush next year?

I've said it in other posts. During rush, you only meet a very small fraction of the girls who make up a chapter. To say you don't feel "home" when you've met less than 10 girls out of 130+ isn't giving the chapter or yourself a fair chance to get to know them.

There are girls that go through, accept a bid then drop before initiation if they just really don't feel the connection. However, they at least gave it time to make a better informed decision.

Go to the parties and see what happens, who knows this next round you may meet someone that changes your mind. Rush as a Sophomore isn't easier.

You really think you know any of the houses well enough that you know if they’re home or not when you’ve spoken to like maybe 5 people? You didn’t sign up for rush to go through two rounds then drop bc a certain 8 houses didn’t invite you back you signed up for rush to join a house so why don’t you do that? If you find that you think Greek life in general isn’t for you then by all means drop bc it certainly isn’t for everyone but don’t kid yourself if you’re dropping for more biased reasons. Leave your ego at the door and if you still hate it drop before initiation and try again sophomore year (sophomore year will be harder. a lot of houses will cut you simply bc they cut you last year unless you happen to have a lot of friends landing in one house to pull for you)

Be honest with yourself. If you are not "feeling it" because your dorm friends say they don't like a chapter, it is bs. If you go the whole way through and you do not talk to a SINGLE person that makes you smile, well may be it is not a good match. But I would 100% go through and accept the bid if I really wanted to be Greek. If after going through the pledge process it wasn't feeling right, I would drop. You can still go through again next year. But, if you drop too soon, you may never get another opportunity. If you at least try, you may find the best friends of your life.
