Yes especially the out of state kids whose entire existence existence revolves around being in a top house.

Probably about 10% or less of Greeks care about tiers, most of them realize by the end of their Sophomore and Junior years that the tiers don't matter and are more a carry over of high school mentality. It takes time to transition from HS to college.

There will always be some of your type A personalities that will always hold on to the tier system and these are the type of people who are all status driven, have to drive the nicest car, live in the biggest house, wear the nicest clothes.

90% of the Greeks will realize quickly that tiers are meaningless and outgrow the stupidity of it all. As you move into your junior and senior years priorities change as you are looking to start your life which is why a lot of upperclassman don't party as much.

If someone really cares about tiers that much then they must have bigger issues honestly..
