pnm’s & philanthropy events?
by: idk!is it weird for people who intend to rush in the spring to go to events houses they’re interested in are hosting this semester? is that frowned upon/encouraged? or should i just go in with a completely blank slate?
#1by: come!!
ssuming you are a pnm, YES!! we want all girls to come to our philanthropy events so that you get to know us a little more before recruitment comes! part of the reason why most sororities do a philanthropy in the fall is to get freshman girls interested, houses advertise for their events not only for the money but to get you guys more familiar with that house. hope that helps :) it is ~highly~ encouraged
#2by: Come get to know us!!
Absolutely! I encourage all Pnms to come to any philanthropy event to get to know the chapters. This is a great way to make first impression, interact with chapter members and learn a little about the philanthropy. When you come through recruitment it will be a bonus point if you can say you attended the event and know a little more about what we do. By all means, do not think it makes you "too eager". We love that!! Bonus points for all!!
#3by: also...
It's also a good way for PMNs to really see what the chapters are like. It is easy to be fooled during recruitment, but not so easy to be fooled when the chapter members have to work together to accomplish something. You can see where the cliques are and how well they all get along.
