informal grades

The two houses doing informal both have a 2.8 GPA requirement but are known for being lenient with grade risks. If you plan on working hard to improve your GPA then you can still join one of the houses doing informal even if you’re a little under a 2.8. I know girls who have joined houses with as low as a 2.3 (most houses would not take this) it just depends on what else you bring to the table other than grades

Every house has a 2.8, a 2.9, or a 3.0 gpa req for freshman. The overall gpa requirement to rush is a 2.8. You get a booklet right before rush that tells you which houses have what requirement but they’re subject to change every year so mine from last year likely wouldn't be 100% accurate for this year (they go up not down). Most houses also have a minimum gpa req for sophomores that is slightly higher than their requirements for freshman. Tier plays no part in gpa requirement so there are houses of every tier with every gpa requirement in case you thought you’d be fine with a 2.8 lol only about a third of the houses will accept you with a 2.8
