confused about aphi
by: Confused PNMI'm a PNM and I loved alpha phi personally but I have heard so many PNMs talk about not liking them at all and complain about them being rude, uninterested, etc., and overall not liking them. I'm confused because they were super nice to me and are known as a good house, do they usually have this issue during recruitment or is it just a rough year?

I think that’s great that you got along with them so well. Please try to keep in mind, however, that sororities during recruitment season are very different from the rest of the year. APhi has had their PNMs they’d like to give bids to picked out for a while. Believe me, they have stalked every bit of social media and made their decision. It’s a little superificial in my opinion, but if you really click with them and want to be there, don’t let what others say influence you in any way.

If they've had girls picked out before rush does that mean they invite random people back and those other people have zero chance?

how do u kno that theyve had ppl picked out since before rush? Like do they know people from following them on social media?

the rush lists are given out before first round and the ladies know how to social media stalk very well, just like the rest of us. they typically look at how popular people are on social media and whether their specific aesthetic fits in with aphi. of course, there may be people they miss who they later invite back so they have time to evaluate if they’re someone else they’d like to add. i’m not saying this to be mean or rude, but i really wouldn’t put all your hope into aphi. they’re the top house pretty much with tridelt out of the picture. they’re very specific about what kind of girl they want and that’s just how it is.

There is no way that they have everybody picked out ahead of time based on social media. Way too many girls coming through for that. If you like them stick with it. If it is meant to be it will be. As you go through the process you will get a better feel for where you belong. Go with your gut feeling not what people say on here

Anyone saying anything negative about alpha phi is just trying to make their lower ranked house seem better because alpha phi is top tier, and any pnms saying they’re mean and not liking them is probably because they’re scared they won’t get invited back. There are good and bad girls in every house get used to it

listen, we get it. aphi doesn’t like that all of a sudden not every girl on campus wants to be one. but every sorority has a different personality and if you really love them and get along with them, great. this was really just for girls who wanted to know if they were the only one who didn’t necessarily feel like aphi was a good fit because other pnms maybe didn’t agree with them. don’t take it so harshly
