Is IU Greek Life getting suspended? I've heard some rumors, but not sure if they are true.

only IFC pledging events are suspended not PHA. therefore, recruitment for women will be the same, but bid week will definitely be different without the ability to pair

Doesn’t this create a more unsafe environment for our students? Currently parties have organized sober monitors and drivers but now members will be forced to attend off campus functions not registered with no regulations, hosting lots of pissed of Greek members... sounds like a recipe for disaster!

Sober monitors and drivers are not doing their jobs. Everyone knows all you have to do it go up to a private room and find whatever you want to consume. Simple answer is for Greeks to control themselves with alcohol, but they can't do it, so they brought this on themselves. All the non-Greeks manage to have unregulated parties all the time - they manage just fine. This is the end of Greek life as we know it.
