Isn’t the tier system like the caste systems that we all learned about in history class. Look at it. We’re ranking organizations based off rumors and hearsay. Those are arbitrary characteristics. Let’s do better.
Here’s criteria we can definitively rank chapters based off of:
Average GPA
Number of members in chapter
Amount of money raised for charity
Amount of chapters in the national organization
Approximate net worth of national organization
Number of years on campus
Recent suspensions and probations.
Number of new members and/or snap bids.
Job success rate of new members
Arbitrary criteria
If the parties are bangers
How hot/cute the members are
Best Location (Jordan, South J, or 3rd), who knows?
Historical tiers that span decades
How nice a house is
If the chapter has a house
How hard pledging is
Pledging process
Wealth of current and new members

This could work if the rankings were about the organization's professional quality, but the tier system is in place because people rank the organizations socially, which unfortunately has to be based on arbitrary criteria because who is better socially is a matter of opinion.

No they don't. Some of the most boring parties I have been to were at "top" fraternities, the only exception being Pi Kapps. Fiji, Beta and Sigma Chi are all nice guys but honestly their parties are super boring. The only top tier girls are the underage ones who are made to go there until midnight. After midnight, it's all underage girls, girls friends and GDI girls. All the girls on my floor who did't rush go to those parties after midnight and think they are something. But we all know who really throws down and that's where you'll find the hot girls who throw down.
