can anyone relate, or give advice
by: HiiI'm in a sorority here at IU & it was not my top choice but I do feel as if I fit in. However I've been having trouble trying to navigate the cliques bc there are so many people in a PC & I've just been feeling kind of alone bc last year most of my friends were in my residence hall, and also some people in my PC are not the warmest. Can anyone relate or give advice? Thanks
#2by: Well
To be honest, you have to put yourself out there and try to find the group that you are close to. You will not be close to everyone, no matter what preconceived notions you had going in. It just isn't possible with a group above a certain size with different personalities. Your friends do not have to be in your PC either. Try talking to the older, or younger if that applies, women in your chapter. Take the situation you have and make the best of it, since you have been initiated and by putting in the hard work that relationships require now, you can have those connections after you graduate. You will always have the chance to form alumnae friends as well through associations/chapters later on, but the closest friends would likely come from your collegiate years. As a senior who made friends in every PC that I am close to, it can be done. In chapters this size, there is bound to be someone that you click with. Good luck!
