by: AnonMy little brother is coming to IU and I'm not apart of the Greek community, but he wants to go down that path. Do I tell him to spring rush FIJI or wait for normal rush in the fall?

FIJI's spring rush is by invitation--HS seniors come to campus and spend the weekend at the house. So if you're just now posting, I'm not sure how many more events they'll have. Get hold of a current active brother. They DO pick up a few pledges in the fall, but again--it's who you know.

FIJI is pretty hyper selective as to whom they recruit & they've been this way for years...It all comes down to where you went to high school (FIJI recruits from specific areas), who you know in FIJI (which is where high school also comes into play) & if you have any family members who were in FIJI. But tell him to give FIJI a go; if he doesn't get in, it's not the end of the world - there are other fraternities to check out.
