bid question

So I never knew this site was here and it's been very interesting to read but as a PNM I'm so glad I didn't read it during rush !!! Anyways I'm sure it's been asked but I had a question about the bid process that I just wanted to confirm
So if you put house A as yuur first choice and they don't give you a bid does it automatically go to your house B and if they gave you a bid meaning you where ranked between 1-55 on their list then u will get a bid from them even though they weren't yuur number one ?

Yes and they won't know you listed them 2nd unless you tell them. Keep in mind though that bids will go out to pnms listed much lower than 55 bc no sorority gets all their 1-55 choices. So if your 70th on your sorority A's list and 15 girls go elsewhere you'd get A's bid even if your B or C had you listed first. They try to match one preference as much as they can.
