by: OldFratI have a question. Why are off campus fraternities and sororities immediately bottom tier of IU Greek Life? Shouldn't a chapter be judged on their character and who the brothers/sisters are? I know many guys and girls in off campus greek houses who are amazing people, who chose an off campus chapter for financial reasons. Everyone wants a house, but can we give off campus fraternities and sororities a chance?

In regards to the sororities it's more of a case of newness, their chapters are mixed bags bc they need bodies, but in some cases, especially ASA, you can see how the chapter has improved over time and has comparable pairs to lower mid and bottom tier housed chapters, the unhoused frats tend to stay weird bc frats can take way more pledges but only give out bids to cool/normal guys so the weird ones keep getting funneled down
