Yes it's weird. This time around you could have better luck but you could also have major cuts. You need to be open to any house and take what you can get. Being a part of the greek system is more fun than not being a part of it. Good luck!

Be more open minded than you were the first time around. this is your last chance to go greek. Chances are your choices will be the same or more limited. Embrace your options.

I know a girl who got cut by all the housed chapters as a freshman for her grades and she rerushed as a soph and she ended up in the upper middle tier and in love with her chapter, it can be really worth it! Also being in a top-lower middle chapter is worth it, but if you don't fit in/don't end up in a respected house it's not better than not being Greek, at least GDIs don't have assumption made about them based off prior PCs of their house
