rec's for pnm sororities

Do I really need to have rec's for recruitment? Or just certain houses require them?I have herd both sides and really want a straight answer! Can it work pos/neg for a future PNM?

Why would you NOT get recs? They can help provide a more complete picture of what you have to offer, and certainly can't hurt.

Total waste of time at IU. Since chapters can't have pre-recruitment events, they aren't worth the time it takes to get them. Honestly, my chapter doesn't even know we have recs on a PNM unless it's from a woman who is a national officer or a big donor. It's not going to help you get into a "top" chapter, don't pin your hopes on it.

They're pretty important in my house. They show you are serious about rushing and that you appreciate the heritage.

if you are a legacy at a house then definitely yes
they are able to have pre-recruitment legacy nights which gives them a chance to get to know you better, it also guarentees getting invited back to 16 party at most houses which could help
