what is going on with zta?

Can anyone tell me in a non-rude way what is going on? Why are they on probation? I think the rumors are probably worse than the truth.

That's a lot of members arrested, but seriously underage drinking is an everyday occurrence at IU.

The problem is some of the members are kind of bragging about it and acting like it was no big deal that 20 members were arrested. That's kind of a big deal and extremely embarrassing to their chapter and IU. I hope they receive an appropriate punishment.

Also, who are all the guys and why are they not in trouble?

Its always about under age drinking. Reminder you must be 21 in the state of Indiana to drink Alcohol baby!

It's not just about the drinking, it's about the fact that ZTA was told to cancel their weekend parties due to an incident that occurred earlier in the week. They cancelled the "local" events and moved the party to Columbus where they thought they would not get caught. So not only were 30 members arrested for underage drinking, they were arrested at a party they were told not to have. You can't ignore a national directive.

If their IHQ is already on campus, then most definitely a membership review of the chapter will be conducted, which could resort in sisters getting kicked out. Membership reviews are considered a death sentence to a chapter. It's easier just to surrender the charter and wait a few years to re-colonize.

ZTA nationals doesn't play. They shut down their Alpha chapter a few years ago due to the actives refusing to abide by nationals' rules after being given several chances.

Why is FIJI not having any repercussions from their national for their brothers being arrested? Seems kind of ridiculous that only Zeta is suffering public ridicule and sanctions, when FIJI was equally complicit. Why were they able to race and function and Zeta was not?

I am seriously shocked that some of the members of both houses who created this mess are not laying low. Making your social media private is not enough because your people still see your drinking photos and they still talk. #noredsolocups #yourenot21
