Diversity is important.

Making underrepresented people feel welcomed and included is everyone’s goal, but it’s very different than “recruiting diversity”. Recruiting diversity would mean that you’re intentionally bidding to be diverse.

Having a diverse group is wonderful, but intentionally recruiting to it is a quota based system, which is not permitted.

Saying you respect and welcome everyone and then saying you “recruit for diversity” are two extremely different statements.

My house is very welcoming and we don’t look to fill quotas. We genuinely love and respect our sisters for who they are on the inside. They will never wonder if they belong or if we were just checking off a box.

not sure what you mean. i personally want diversity bc having a chapter filled with rich white blondes doesn’t appeal to me. we need differences in race and culture that bring different ideas to share and things to bring to the table. who wants to join a cookie cutter group that all look and think alike?

What do you consider when you vote on girls??? What do you value? Noone has a diversity quota that’s a lie. You will not diminish the wonderful diversity in Pan chapters.

You won’t stop anyone from recruiting great looking girls. You will never stop anyone from recruiting diverse girls. Diversity is beautiful.

people are intentionally open and welcoming to diverse ppl (race, culture, religion, background, body type) but not trying to be the most diverse. some girls are intentionally not open to diverse ppl and that sucks

It’s almost like you want all chapters to be white, Christian, size 2 girls. It’s not happening. We will keep loving, celebrating, and bidding diverse women with sincerity and pride.

the hater is angry that zeta is a chapter that is so diverse and welcoming. the motive is clear and they are trying to take that away from them by saying they have a diversity quota. the best thing is that you can’t take it away because zeta is inclusive and has amazing girls.

No sororities are using woc at plaques. Recruitment is inherently superficial because we can’t get to know everyone as much as we would like. We see how girls look and act but it’s hard to get to know everyone’s personalities. Some sororities want all size zero white girls and others welcome differences and diversity. That’s what we should all be striving for great girls of all shapes, colors, backgrounds and religions.

hate to be the one to break it to you but when you put diversity on a rank list and say you’re better than someone else because you have more diverse girls—that is very much using it as a plaque!

if you are in a chapter that loves black and brown women that’s fabulous and you should be loud and proud. if you can’t say your sorority loves diversity that is a problem. diversity is just as important as looks imo. you will not remove diversity

We are all proud of our hot, diverse, smart and outgoing girls. No girls are wondering why they were given a bid. They all have so many great attributes they know why they were wanted.

Stop with the quota and plaque talk it’s not true. Hot chapters are proud to be hot same with diverse and outgoing chapters. You can make 10 more comments we love and value diversity and diverse chapters are not going anywhere.
