Kinda is a requirement. Every one of our upper mid sororities and frats pair with tops and upper mids every single semester. It’s what separate them from true mid. since upper mid and true mid are the same tier, all mid tier.
We’ve never had an upper mid or true mid that has not paired with top or consistent upper mid.
If they don’t they’ll get clowned and dropped.

Kappa Sig claims to be so much better than ZBT & DU but they have something Ksig don’t have.
Not sure why you’re bringing up girls in a discussion about frats. No one said u are required to pair with tops it just says that these are the chapters that have.

it’s not a requirement but every single upper mid has so…. zbt has been upper mid forever bc in 2021 they had top socials back when tridelt was top plus zeta. they have socials w zeta and adpi every sem since they were bumped up. don’t know why tridelt and zbt stopped
it’s not just having a top social for one semester that would never pair with u. zbt has them every semester and they will pair. kappa sign does not have that.
