Spring COB for sororities
by: CobAre there any chapters still doing COB? I’m interested but didn’t really hear back from any chapters that I reached out to. Is it common to not hear back?

theres no point in cob if you don't know anyone in the sorority as well, seems like spring cob is only for those who want have friends who want to join. ucf should do better

cob is super informal, not fair chances for all. it bcAll depends on what chapters you are interested in.
most likely you won’t get a top tier, they usually fill their spots with friends of actives. it’s less likely for an upper mid tier but not impossible, it’s more likely for mid tier chapters to. it’s much easier to get a lower mid or bottom tier chapter during cob.
if you want a fair opportunity go through fall recruitment. it’s formal and you get to meet all chapters.

Unfortunately it feels like it’s entirely based on looks, especially for COB. Chapters seem to ignore girls that don’t look a certain way without ever meeting with them to see if they would make a good fit. Ucf also doesn’t seem to have the best system for spring COB. I know plenty of girls who’ve done spring recruitment at other schools and it was a much better experience for them.
