Sorority culture in its purest form is superficial at best. Panhellenic sororities are social in structure, holding weak academic GPA requirements that would fall short of classifying them as academic.
Don’t be fooled into joining a sorority if you know your personality doesn’t fit the lifestyle or you haven’t tried looking for other ways to get involved on campus.
Sororities should not capitalize on selling the ideal of a sisterhood, because doing so is disingenuous. After all, human relationships are not meant to be some sort of capitalist practice; Not a fan of buying friends.

I get what you’re saying, and yes it can feel superficial at times. But at the end of the day my sorority taught me how to deal w all different types of personalities and in the real world that’s a skill that will come in handy after graduating. You need to make an effort to have a good experience and be involved.
