drop my sorority

by: Drop

I want to drop my sorority, but I feel indebted because I've already spent so much of my parents money on it. I don't want to drop because I'll feel guilty that I wasted their money, but I just don't think I fit with these girls. I've only been in it a semester. Idk what to do. Help

if you drop you won’t be able to rush again. So as long as you are okay with not being in Greek life then I would say drop. Or maybe give it a little more time. There’s has to be people you get along with.

You get out of this experience as much as you put in! You won’t make friends if you don’t go to events, you won’t make friends if you don’t go to meal plan, you won’t make friends if you hangout with frat guys more than your sisters. These are your sisters and they’ll be here for you no matter what. You can get involved with Pan and meet girls through there if you really think you made a mistake with your sorority but you guys chose each other for a reason. I wouldn’t give up yet. Try being involved and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. You don’t want to waste a great experience especially if your parents are paying for and it’s not coming out of your pocket.

I say give it one more semester.

I’d definitely give it another semester. And REALLY put yourself out there and try to be involved. If you have a house, hang out there during your free time. That’s what I did when I wasn’t feeling like I fit in and that allowed me to find people like me and how I met my closest friends.

You could just get a job, so you aren’t wasting your parents money. Also go to different events, make different friends, you get what you give in your sorority.
