There's some truth to what the OP said but I think it's ok to cut spring rushees some slack too. Sometimes they're the goobers who couldn't get a bid in the fall but sometimes spring pledges are people who needed some time to settle into college life, or found that hanging out with dorm kids or high school friends sucked, or couldn't move into the dorms early, or had a gf back home holding them back in the fall. Like I knew a someone who couldn't rush in the fall bc they were on a sports scholarship in the fall. It could be anything.

One thing that cannot be denied though is that fall is the best time to rush. The experience is better, your pledge bros will be better, you'll have way more fun in the fall than in the spring.
